Are all 5 probes obligatory?
Is it necessary to choose all 5 probes?
You do not have to choose all five probes. You can select as few as a single probe. The number of probes you activate is entirely up to you. However, the system can activate a maximum of five probes at the time.
Please note that the Sebum module occupies one of these slots, even if you choose not to activate it.
If you require more than five parameters, we recommend our DermaLab Combo, which can accommodate up to nine probes.
Is Sebum obligatory?
Is Sebum a fixed part of the DermaLab Mini?
The Sebum Module occupies one of the five available slots in the DermaLab Mini, as it is integrated into the device.
However, purchasing this module is optional; if you choose not to buy it, it simply will not be activated. In this case, you would still be able to add up to four other probes.
DermaLab Mini vs. DermaLab Combo
What is the difference between DermaLab Mini and DermaLab Combo?
The primary difference between DermaLab Mini and DermaLab Combo is size of main unit and number of probes.
Both instruments are designed for scientific skin analysis and use the same software, SkinLab. They support all 11 DermaLab parameters, providing accurate data.
DermaLab Mini is ideal if you need to measure between 1-5 parameters, while DermaLab Combo is a better choice for setups requiring more than 5 probes.
DermaLab Mini vs. DermaLab Aesthetic
What is the difference between DermaLab Mini and DermaLab Aesthetic?
Although the two instruments look similar, their functionalities differ significantly. Both the data output and the user interface vary a lot between the two.
DermaLab Mini is designed to deliver advanced data for scientific skin analysis, whereas DermaLab Aesthetic is designed for use in aesthetic clinics. Its purpose is to assess the client's skin by measuring five specific parameters that provide insights into the skin’s condition and potential skin treatment needs.
The data the two instruments provide also differs. DermaLab Aesthetic delivers data that is easy to interpret and apply in treatment contexts, while DermaLab Mini generates more in-depth data suited for research and scientific applications.
DermaLab Aesthetic software on a DermaLab Mini
Is it possible to use the DermaLab Aesthetic software on a DermaLab Mini main unit?
Yes. You can use the DermaLab Aesthetic software on a DermaLab Mini main unit, but not the other way around. DermaLab Mini software cannot be used on a DermaLab Aesthetic unit.
The DermaLab Mini and DermaLab Aesthetic are both part of the DermaLab series, but the software compatibility between the two tools differs.
The DermaLab Mini software, called SkinLab, is designed for research purposes, offering advanced skin analysis with detailed data relevant to scientific studies.
On the other hand, the DermaLab Aesthetic is a skin analysis tool intended for aesthetic clinics, and it has its own specialized software. It measures five fixed parameters and provides precise readings to assess skin condition and potential for treatment.
Don't hesitate to acquire prices, ask for detailed information, or book a demonstration.
